Dr. Katie Simonovich joined Horvath Vision Care in 2013. After a brief move to Boston, returned to Horvath Vision care in 2019. Dr. Katie is passionate about providing thorough, compassionate, and personalized eye care. She practices full-scope optometry, with a strong focus on primary care, contact lenses, and ocular disease management.
Dr. Katie grew up on the west side of Cleveland before heading to Ohio University, where she earned her undergraduate degree. She went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2010. Her training included rotations in ocular disease at the Cleveland VA Medical Center and at a private practice in Akron which had specialties in glaucoma, pediatrics and retinal disease. She has a special clinical interest in fitting contact lenses and diabetic eye care and is committed to staying current on the latest advancements in optometry to best serve her patients.
Outside the office, Dr. Katie and her husband, John stay busy with their three children, Leah, Nora and Mason and their loyal boxer, Landry. As a family, they enjoy hiking, reading, sports and exploring new destinations together. Whether it’s a quiet night with a good book or a weekend getaway, she values balance and being present. Landry is always along for the adventure; especially when it involves a trail, a beach, or even just a car ride.
